Payment Methods

How you can pay at Merchill, when you are charged and what appears on your statement.

Accepted Payment Methods

• PayPal — pay with your PayPal balance or a bank account or card linked to your PayPal account.
• Debit and credit cards through PayPal — no PayPal account needed: choose PayPal at checkout and select the debit or credit card option where PayPal offers guest checkout. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover can be used this way, subject to PayPal’s availability in your country.
• PayPal Pay Later — shown at checkout only when PayPal offers it for your order and location.

All prices and charges are in U.S. dollars (USD). We do not accept cash on delivery, checks, money orders, bank transfers, cryptocurrency or gift cards from other stores. The payment options available for your order are always the ones shown at checkout.

Is My Payment Information Safe?

Payments are processed by PayPal, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider, over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your card or bank details are entered with PayPal and are never seen or stored by Merchill.

When Will I Be Charged?

Your payment is taken when you place your order, because production starts soon after. If you cancel within 6 hours, before production begins, the full amount is refunded. See our Cancellation & Modification Policy.

Why Was My Payment Declined?

The most common reasons are a billing address that does not match your card, insufficient funds, an expired card, or your bank or PayPal flagging an unusual purchase. Please check your details, contact your bank or PayPal, and try again — or email us and we will help.

Sales Tax & Customs Duties

We do not currently add U.S. sales tax to orders; if that changes, any tax will be shown at checkout before you pay. International orders may owe import duties or taxes on delivery, which are paid by the recipient. See our Shipping Policy.

Refunds to Your Original Payment Method

Approved refunds are sent back to the payment method used for the order within 5–10 business days; your bank or PayPal may take a few extra days to show it. See our Return & Refunds Policy.

Common Charge Statement Descriptors

Payments made through PayPal appear on your bank or card statement as PAYPAL * followed by our business name — for example PAYPAL *MERCHILL. If you see a charge you do not recognize, email us with the date and amount before contacting your bank, and we will look it up right away.
